Job title: Technical Sales Manager

ASV Global is seeking a technical sales manager who develops sales strategies and plans with executive management to ensure positive growth with sales and operation. He/she is responsible for leading and supporting the growth of ASV. This role will establish the sales strategies, provide technical support to customers, construct and write technical proposals, monitor and report on performance, ensuring sales targets are achieved. Responsible for managing the entire sales cycle from prospecting the project completion. Achieves and exceeds sales and revenue goals through direct and indirect sales activities.

Key responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing account strategies and negotiating contracts, work orders, purchase orders, agreements, etc.
  • Recommend product pricing strategy to maximize profitability
  • Develop volume and revenue forecasts, sales plans, and strategies for achieving optimal results
  • Identify and create new business opportunities in alignment with long term business strategies
  • Build and maintain close relationships with key customers
  • Participate in the development and implementation of marketing strategies
  • Assess competitors and product offerings
  • Educate customers on new products and product enhancements; articulate and present product features and benefits
  • Maintain records of all pricing, sales, competitive activities and provide statuses in a weekly report to management
  • Add new and maintain existing opportunities in Dynamics 365 CRM
  • Participate in National, Regional, and local tradeshows




  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or other scientific or engineering field required
  • Must have ten (10) plus years’ experience with at least eight (8) years of sales and/or technical experience, with a proven track record of setting, meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience developing written proposals. Must have strong technical writing skills
  • Strong interest in unmanned vessel technology
  • Strong customer focus and be able to maintain excellent relationships with customers
  • Must have ability and willingness to work a flexible schedule, periodic overnight travel, weekend and evening work as required
  • Must possess good work habits, strong work ethic, and be able to adhere to company work hours and standard business etiquette
  • Computer literacy (Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Dynamics 365 CRM)
  • Negotiation skills
  • Basic understanding of customer contracts
