“I’d like to thank the Marine Technology Society for choosing L3Harris as the recipient of this award. MTS does great work in the marine community through their education and research efforts. L3Harris is honored to be recognized by such a prestigious organization” said Larry Karl, General Manager, L3Harris ASV.
“This would not be possible without the hard work of L3Harris ASV personnel who are redefining the way the world works at sea with the industry’s most advanced marine autonomy”, he continued.
Formerly known as ASV Global, the division is part of the L3Harris community, the 6th largest defense company in the U.S. The company’s proprietary control system along with proven unmanned system autonomy have been demonstrated on multiple vessels with over 1,500 operating days of service.
