Key Responsibilities

You will be integral to the successful growth and development of the company and your role will include:

  • Overall management of the Service Desk.
  • Manage incidents and request escalations through to resolution, including root-cause analysis and remediation, with the aim of reducing overall service record volumes.
  • Ensure implementation of appropriate technical methodology, within agreed expense budgets.
  • Working closely with employees in the UK, US and Brazil to resolve technical issues.
  • Maintain a secure IT environment against common threats.
  • Manage technical projects to improve and extend the infrastructure and respond to business needs.
  • Commissioning and repairing IT equipment.
  • Ensuring the integrity of automated backups.
  • Identify opportunities to increase operating efficiencies and profitability.
  • Collaborate with IT staff to ensure smooth and reliable operation.

Requirements:

Essential

  • Experience managing a Windows domain environment
  • Management and administration of Office 365 and Azure AD
  • Experience with VMWare EXSi
  • Experience with networking; firewalls and switches, IPSec and SSL VPN, VoiP phones
  • Ability to diagnose and fix hardware issues
  • A good understand of IT Security and its importance
  • Quickly diagnose and resolve problems with a determined attitude
  • Forward thinking and a self-starter
  • Well presented, motivated and practical
  • Able to work flexible hours and to travel when required

Desirable

  • Microsoft Certified Professional, CCIE, CCNA qualifications
  • Experience with VEEAM and V-Centre
  • Experience with Amazon Web Services
  • Experience with managing Linux (CentOS) servers
  • Experience with automated commissioning and provisioning tools
  • An interest in robotics and unmanned vehicles
  • ITIL Qualification
