Key Responsibilities:

The ideal candidate will have significant electrical installation experience including DC and AC wiring, Ethernet and NMEA2000 networks, standard marine electronics and a demonstrable understanding of anti-corrosion techniques.

You will be integral to the successful growth and development of the company and your role will include:

  • Producing high quality electrical products using industry standard principles
  • Production, installation and commissioning of marine electrical systems
  • Maintaining existing products to maximise reliability
  • Collaborating with colleagues to deliver products to an agreed schedule
  • Helping to develop and improve production documentation and techniques
  • Interpreting 2D CAD electrical schematics
  • Power wiring; DC & AC
  • Battery cabling and termination
  • Panel production and wiring (terminals, power supplies, PLCs, relays, etc)
  • Production of water-tight cable looms
  • Soldering, connector assembly crimping etc
  •  Network cabling including Ethernet and CANbus
  • Coaxial cable termination, routing and testing
  • Marine VHF & UHF radio and navigation equipment installation
  • Experience of using and maintaining electrical tooling including a wide range of cable crimping tools
  • Fault finding and rectification
  • Working with electrical designers to develop products and improve drawings
  • Management of stock material

The work will include testing and commissioning with on-water time in the UK and abroad.



  • At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of marine engine wiring
  • High attention to detail and quality
  • Must be able to manage own time and deliver to tight deadlines, creating and following strict project plans
  • The ability to fault find and test and interrogate electrical systems
  • Ability to constructively express opinion and clearly interchange ideas and solutions with colleagues
  • Well presented, motivated, practical and willing to go to sea for short durations.
  • Able to work flexible hours and to travel when required.


  • Knowledge of good EMI/EMC management practices
  • A keen interest in robotics and unmanned vehicles
  • Experience in defence, oil and gas or ocean science industries

Experience of the marine environment, either through business or leisure activities, would be highly advantageous.
