We have a large fleet of vehicles available for lease.
The lease fleet includes the C-Worker 5, C-Worker 6, C-Worker 7 and CT3. These vehicles are well suited to tasks such as multibeam survey (MBES), side scan survey (SSS), subsea positioning (USBL) and Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) and can accommodate a wide array of other industry standard payloads.
Bespoke leasing packages can be provided to suit requirements. As a minimum we provide the ASV platform along with a comprehensive training course. Additional services can include sensor payload integration support, logistics (mobilization and demobilization), onsite field operations and offsite operational support.
Technical support and training can be provided from either of our operational bases in Portchester, UK and Broussard, LA, USA.
Recent examples of our lease fleet in action:
C-Worker 5 lease for hydrographic survey using multibeam and side scan sonars
TerraSond used the C-Worker 5 ASV alongside its Q105 survey ship for hydrographic survey for a duration of 36 days. The C-Worker 5 completed 2275 nautical miles of survey lines operating as a force multiplier, running parallel survey lines to the Q105. Both vessels ran multibeam sonars and simultaneously towed side scan sonars.
The C-Worker 5 was operated using the ASView™ control system from a control station on the Q105 vessel. ASView™ used exported survey lines from the TerraSond planning system to autonomously execute an accurate survey with minimal human intervention. Navigational safety was maintained by the C-Worker 5 operator monitoring the ASV’s color and thermal camera feeds and AIS collision avoidance system, whilst radar overwatch was provided by the Q105.
C-Worker 6 lease for subsea positioning
The C-Worker 6 was used to support LBL acoustic positioning array box-in and array baseline data collection operation in the Deepwater Gulf of Mexico.
Fitted with a Sonardyne gyro USBL, the C-Worker 6 ASV was used to assist in the installation of a 38 compatt array by collecting 11 Box Ins and all the baselines from the surface at a water depth of approximately 6000ft (1830m).
The application of this new technology resulted in significant savings by reducing surface support vessel time and increasing program efficiency.
CT3 lease for hydrographic survey using single beam
The CT3 was the first use of an ASV to perform bathymetry for updating the US nautical charts for NOAA occurred in the Alaskan Arctic this summer. Surveying alongside TerraSond’s mother-vessel, the ASV collected data simultaneously on adjacent survey lines, effectively doubling the production rate. The ASV also surveyed by itself in areas too shallow and dangerous for the larger vessel to work, eliminating some risk to the surveyors.
C-Worker 6 and C-Enduro lease for passive acoustic monitoring
We collaborated with the Littoral Acoustic Demonstration Center Gulf Ecological Monitoring and Modeling (LADC-GEMM) consortium to conduct 10 days of Passive Acoustic Monitoring (PAM) data collection for its BP/Gulf of Mexico Research Initiative (GoMRI) funded project.
We worked with Seiche Measurements Limited to integrate its PAM technology on both the C-Worker 6 and C-Enduro Autonomous Surface Vehicles (ASVs). Our crew operated from the R/V Pelican coastal research vessel to collect extensive data, which will undergo analysis in the coming months.
The two ASV’s were able to identify approximately 30 marine mammals whilst operating in challenging sea conditions up to sea state 5.
