Marine Equipment
ASV's team of Naval Architects, Mechanical, Electronics and Software Engineers has an extensive skill set that allows the company to design rugged and effective marine equipment to suit customer requirements. In addition, our production and workshop staff utilise in house facilities and an extensive local network of subcontractors and suppliers to rapidly prototype and produce high quality equipment.
ASV has worked on the following custom equipment projects:-
- Sub Bottom Sparker bolt on float system to enable operations in higher sea states than standard. Proved extremely successful enabling the customer to increase their weather window. Five units have been produced to date with the latest unit upgraded to allow a further increase in sea state.
- Prototype for a high resolution 3D geophysical survey rig. Currently undertaking proving trials schedule.
- Passive high stability surface towed body for testing of Synthetic Aperture Sonar (SAS) during development. Large reduction in motions allowed the SAS to be deployed using a low cost work boat rather than a large ship.
- Low motions station keeping wave profiling rig for oceanographic research.
