ASV Build C-Target 3 for C&C Technologies
Portsmouth, UK (14th November 2011) - ASV Ltd has built a C-Target3 unmanned surface vehicle for sister company C&C Technologies Lafayette, USA. The vehicle will be used as a development and demonstration platform for unmanned vehicle and survey technologies from both companies. The C-Target3 has previously been designed and supplied for military (naval) gunnery training, weapons testing, as well as for ship command and control assessments and has been recognised as being suitable for a range of hydrographic survey and environmental monitoring roles.The vehicle has been deigned in modular format thus offering the opportunity for the vehicle to perform multiple roles dependent upon the payload equipment chosen. The C-Target3 can be configured to tow sensors or even to conduct remote profiling.
ASV can provide payload integration services, and custom design or fabrication as required, as well as a range of propulsion and power solutions to suit a customer’s requirements. Standard industrial or military grade components are used where possible.
The C-Target3 can be operated in direct control, line following or waypoint navigation modes using ASV’s own control software, or can be interfaced to either commercially available or a client’s own survey acquisition and navigation systems.
